I Want to See That Expression of Yours… 2

TL note: ‘Oku-san’ is a way to address someone else’s wife.

2. My wife’s friend and her husband who a bit Troublesome

“Oku-san, Thank you for the meal. It was really delicious.”

“Yes, it was very good. Thank you for the meal.”

“You’re welcome.”

Watching their satisfied expression, Manaka felt relieved.

She wasn’t sure if the food she prepared would suit their taste, it seems to be a natural response for Naoya.

Happy that her hospitality had gone well, Manaka began to clean the dishes.

“I’m jealous of you, Naoya-san. Do you always eat something like this?”

“Oh, no, today is just a special occasion.”

“I see. Hahaha, But yeah, I’m sure I’ll get fat in no time if I eat like this all the time.”

Said a man with glasses sitting opposite Naoya, rubbing his stomach and laughing with an Ebisu-like face.

His name was Kikuchi Keiichi, the husband of Manaka’s friend, Kikuchi Rin.

“It’s a pity, though. I wanted to have a drink with you with some of that stewed food today. Let’s go out for a drink again next time.”

“Y-Yes, by all means.”

Naoya smiled fondly, but inwardly he sighs.

He wasn’t that good at socializing and became slightly uncomfortable with Keiichi’s attempts to get friendly.

He didn’t know his exact age, but it was probably around 40.

Keiichi seems to be in some kind of private import business and he was also the owner of several properties and stores.

The clothes he wore were those of a famous brand, and that beer belly seemed to come from his good annual income.

At first glance, he looked like a middle-aged man with a short back and a protruding belly that also gave off the vibes of a kind old man.

He used to be a genuine playboy, and he loves to have a conversation.

Until he was over thirty, he seemed to have traveled all over the world, be it domestic or international, so that there was never any shortage of conversation topics.

Naoya was taken to a bar once, he was a little troubled because Keiichi was not afraid to talk about something you could consider “vulgar.”

However, in Naoya’s mind, He was much more considerate than some bosses with similar characteristics. Also, he wasn’t a bad person.

“What are you both talking about?

“Your tea seems to be getting cold, so I’m going to prepare a new one.”

Not long after the two of them were having a small conversation, the two that had been washing dishes finally joined the conversation.

Manaka quickly cleaned up the teacups and re-brewed the tea.

“Didn’t you just say something about ditching your wife and going out for drinks with just the guys?”

“Hahaha, it’s good sometimes with just the two of us without the wife.”

“Is that so? Then let’s do something without the husbands ourselves.”

“That sounds good, Manaka-san.”

After saying that both Manaka and Rin laughed.

Rin was a little younger than Manaka and spoke in an easy-going manner.

She has short black hair, small breasts, and was quite tall. A sporty figure that makes her look somewhat neutral.

She had a rather sharp look in her eyes, which made Naoya have a hard time speaking to her right away when they first met.

However, when she smiled, Rin suddenly looked very young, and when he talked to her, he even felt that she was more friendly than Keiichi.

She was the kind of person who would openly say things that were difficult to say, even if they were trivial. A type of person that Naoya and Manaka did not have even among their friends.

“I’m kinda envious, though. How can you cook so well?”

“A lot of research, also trial and error.”

“Oh, I don’t think I can do that. Impossible.”

“Rin-san is very good at what she does. I’m sure you’ll do fine once you’re used to it.”

“Really? Well, I’m pretty confident with my ‘skipping crucial steps’ skill.”

“Fufu, actually, I’m pretty good at it myself.”

Then they both laughed again. They were really good friends.

The two husbands looked at each other, and they both chuckled.

Naoya did not know in detail when Manaka and Rin had become so close.

However, he did know when that happened.

Soon after moving in, Manaka had taken a few bike rides around the area to see around.

She stopped sometimes where she was interested and checked the map. At that time her hand slipped and her phone dropped on the embankment.

Then, on her way down the steep embankment, she lost her stance and sprained her foot badly.

At that time, Takumi, Rin’s younger brother, happened to find his wife in trouble and unable to move due to severe pain.

He immediately contacted his sister and her husband who immediately took her to the hospital.

She had a severe sprain that took a long time to fully heal, and during that time, Rin-san had helped her in several things for a while.

Through this relationship, they gradually became friends.

Thanks to cheerful and friendly Rin, Manaka became less anxious about being in an unknown place where she didn’t know anyone.

“Oh, right, Manaka, are your feet completely healed? If it’s still hurting somehow, I can recommend where to get a good massage.

“I’m fine, there’s no more pain anymore. It’s completely healed now.”

“Really? Well, the doctor there is nothing but a plain old baboon, but his skill is a real deal.”

“Y-yes. He was a wonderful doctor, except for his insistence on touching the affected area.”

“Oh, hahahaha. Yeah, I remember that as well.”

Naoya also had been to that Kashima Orthopedic Clinic for his hospital visit.

It was quite crowded, and the place was popular even on the Internet.

Naoya had a brief conversation with the doctor, who seemed to be like a greasy baboon old man.

He was smiling and acting like a gentleman, but when he thought no one noticed, he was looking at Manaka from behind, ogling her with his vulgar eyes.

If that old man wasn’t a great doctor, he would have changed hospitals, he was the type of person Naoya hates.

Naoya’s boss was also a similar kind of person, that was why he avoids taking his wife to company gatherings.

“Oh, by the way, was it Takumi-kun? I wanted to thank him as well, didn’t he come here often?”

In order to change the subject that was not good for his mood, Naoya asked Rin and Keiichi about something that had been in his mind.

The two then looked at each other and laughed.

“Hmm, well… That kid comes to visit once in a while, but…”

“In the first place, I don’t really want Naoya-san to meet him.”

Naoya tilted his head at the two crisp words.

“What do you mean?”

“He’s a bad boy, a delinquent. Although, it’s about time that he is starting to grown-up.”

“I-I see…”

Naoya was bewildered by the unexpected answer from Rin.

Then, Manaka interrupted him.

“He was indeed difficult to deal with sometimes, but I don’t think he was that bad…”

“I think he was just acting because oku-san is beautiful.”

“Oh, I-I see…”

Judging from Manaka and Kikuchi’s reaction, he was probably a cheeky and unpleasant kid.

Naoya chuckled as he remembered how his junior high school cousin had annoyed Manaka by weirdly hanging around her during a meeting with his relatives.

Many men would be reacting strangely in front of her, sometimes even as far as starting to hit on her even though her husband was next to her.

Manaka was used to dealing with both his cousin and flirting men. In some cases she even coldly rejected them.

This time, however, she may have been a little more patient because he had helped her when she was in trouble.

“I’ve thanked him properly, so I think it’s okay. Naoya-san, you can thank him when you have a chance.”

“Well, yeah, I guess so. It feels weird if you call him here just to say thank you.”

After that, they talked for a while about interesting stories about the neighborhood and chatted about various topics.

Keiichi talked about his interesting trip, while Naoya and Manaka talked about their mistakes at work.

It was interesting to listen to the conversation between them.

In the midst of all this, Naoya noticed that Rin was staring at him.

He had a feeling that she was going to bring up a certain topic, and he got a little stiff.

“By the way, Naoya-san, have you gotten familiar with this place?”

“Oh, I’ve been busy lately and come home late, so I’ll get familiar eventually, it’s not that big of an area.”

“Then that would make Manaka-san lonely. That wouldn’t do, Naoya-san.”

“Ah… yes. I’ve been causing a lot of trouble for my wife.”

“But you were in your fifth year, right? That’s a very busy and difficult time.”

“That’s that. This is this.”

“Naoya-san often helps me with the housework even on his days off. I’m the one who gives him trouble most of the time.”

“Heh, I see. I wish mine could also give me some help.”

“Yeah, I’ve been thinking about events and stuff. I’m trying to work on it…”

Keiichi was unexpectedly hit by a bullet. He scratched his head.

Naoya, who had always had Manaka do things for him even more so. He lowered his head.

“Well, it’s nice that you’re working on it, but what about the certain issues?”

At Rin’s words, Naoya’s body stiffened.

When he looked at Manaka, he saw that her cheeks were blushing, but she seemed to be sulking slightly.

“…ah, well… That’s…, Um…, ….not yet…”

“I see…, Hmm.”

Finally, the topic of Naoya’s ED surfaced.

Even though this was the third time they had gathered to talk about it, Naoya was so embarrassed that he felt like his face was on fire.

At first, he thought about getting angry with Manaka for talking about such a private matter, but for some reason, he couldn’t.

In the first place, there was no one he could talk to about these things before, and now he thinks he has no choice.

“I think it would be faster if we went to the hospital and got a prescription for some medicine.”

“I already told you before, it was the last resort.”

There was a reason why Rin said it was a last resort.

The other day, Rin had told him privately that Manaka wondered if she was no longer attractive as a woman.

She was in tears because she thinks that her husband would eventually divorce her if that were the case.

Hearing such a story, Naoya felt ashamed of himself and felt sorry for her.

There was no way he could think that Manaka was unattractive or that He would divorce her.

But he regretted that this situation managed to push her to this point.

Rin said that even if he could use drugs to do it, it would not restore Manaka’s pride as a woman.

If that was just to have a baby, that was fine. But, since they were pretty close, Rin suggested that he work out something first with Manaka.

“But, today somehow feels… more stimulating than usual…”

“We can stop if you want.”

While the Kikuchi couple were talking, Naoya looked at Manaka’s face.

She clenched her hands tightly and seemed to be holding something.

When their eyes met, she gave him a strong gaze that seemed to have made up her mind.

Naoya was vulnerable to this kind of gaze from her.

“Please. But if either of you both or us doesn’t want to continue, please stop…”

When Naoya said that with determination, the Kikuchi couple looked at each other and nodded.

“Manaka-san, what about you?”

“Y-yes! I-it’s okay…”

“Hmmm. Well, let’s give it a try then?”

Keiichi said.

The swapping between married couples.
